Press the button on the chest, pick one of three temperatures, and nine carbon-fibre zones come up fast across your core and back through whatever you already have on. Carbon fibre rather than metal wire, so it flexes with the jacket instead of kinking.

It runs off a standard USB bank, which means you charge it the way you charge your phone and you can carry a spare. Thin enough to layer under a coat.

Sizing: this is cut to Asian sizing, roughly two to three sizes smaller than US. Order by the chest measurement, not by the letter — M fits a 104cm chest, L 108cm, XL 112cm, 2XL 116cm, 3XL 120cm, 4XL 124cm.

Does the battery come with it?
No. The vest works with any standard USB power bank, which most people already own. A 10,000mAh bank is the usual choice.

What size do I order?

Can I wash it?
Yes. Unplug and remove the power bank first, then machine wash.
